Helicopter sightseeing is very much a weather dependant activity, mainly due to wind speed and cloud-base above the ground. Just because the ‘Sun is shining’ does not mean that it is safe weather to fly.
Helicopter sightseeing flights are only postponed in the interest of passenger SAFETY. In the event of any such postponement your Boarding-Pass remains valid and can be transferred to a later date.
On the morning of your flight, at approx. 0700, we will send you an SMS to the contact number that you have provided advising you if the day’s flying programme is taking place.
However, should you not receive the SMS, and to save any unnecessary road travel, we ask you to phone our operations team on 01708 688 800 on the morning of your flight before you leave home to check on the status of the flights.
Handbags, hats and umbrellas or any other loose articles will not be allowed on the aircraft. Passengers will receive a full safety briefing prior to boarding the aircraft.
Please control small children in the vicinity of any aircraft – we operate our flights at a very busy airfield.
Passengers who present themselves at the airfield in an inebriated state, or who use indecent language or exhibit aggressive behaviour toward either Excel Charter Ltd. staff or other passengers will not be flown, and such behaviour will render their Boarding-Pass(es) void and non-refundable.
RESTRICTIONS: (MEDICAL, AGE, WEIGHT)
Any passengers suffering from a medical condition, to which they have a query, are advised to contact their Doctor before flying. i.e. any heart condition, fitting/seizure.
Any female passenger in the later stages of pregnancy should consult their Doctor before flying.
There is no upper age restrictions for passengers. We will happily accept children over the age of two travelling with an adult, and un-accompanied children over the age of 14.
Unfortunately we cannot accept passengers over 18st (115kg) in a single seat.
London Pleasure Flights Boarding-Passes are valid for 12-months from the date of purchase. We realise that there may be weather cancellations and we are happy to re-book you on to another available date.
Passengers may not cancel or postpone bookings within 2-weeks of their flight. However, under exceptional circumstances and given that the seat(s) could then be re-allocated, late postponement may be accepted.
Once boarding-passes have been purchased, should passengers decide not to fly, refunds are not an option. Boarding-passes are not name specific, so can be passed on to other people who may wish to redeem them.
Excel Charter Ltd. also reserves the right to postpone flights under exceptional circumstances.
If your helicopter sightseeing tour is postponed due to circumstances beyond our control, refunds are not an option, but passengers are allowed to re-book on to another flight date of their choice.
A cloud-base of 1500 feet, visibility of 5km or more and a wind speed of less than 30 knots are required for us to operate our sightseeing tours over London. Passengers are responsible for re-booking onto another flight in the event of a cancellation.
Simply contact our office (open Monday to Friday, 0900 – 1700) on telephone number – 01708 688 800 to re-schedule your flight.
